Turner and Townsend Italy are now expanding their HR team and are seeking a Senior HR Manager to join our dynamic team and collaborate with senior management in shaping and converting the strategic direction of our local HR operations. In this generalist and hands-on role, you will report into the regional HR Lead, drive regional HR excellence within a diverse and growing entity in Italy.
Job Description
Key tasks
- Full scope of HR, encompassing the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to performance management, talent development and compensation.
- Act as culture carrier, drive initiatives to enhance company culture of our combined business, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- Lead and convert all HR aspects of the workforce integration and change management for the combined business in Italy
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure full HR compliance
- Manage communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged during transition.
- Ensure compliance of all policies and processes with local and EU employment laws and regulations in Italy
- Ensure that our benefits are competitive and state of the art
- Own and drive the monthly payroll process; prepare monthly information for the external payroll provider
- Act as a key advisor on HR, Labour law and compliance matters
- Support regional Talent Acquisition team with local recruiting tasks
- Build strong relationships with the senior management team and represent HR in meetings, contributing to overall company strategy and decision-making
- Work closely with the Europe HR team across region to share own best practices and to benefit from these of other countries
Qualifications
- >8 years of experience in an HR role in Italy within an international, complex and dynamic work environment (knowledge of HR best practices in Italy)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management/business management
- Excellent knowledge of Italian regulations, bargaining agreements, unions and employment law fundamentals
- Mergers & Acquisition experience desirable, but not essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels
- Ability to understand business needs and anticipating future problems/risk, developing simple and effective solutions
- Proactive and hands-on attitude
- Demonstrated Project Management skills
- Comfortable being the sole person responsible for HR in Italy, working as part of the European HR function
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
- Structured work approach, strong team player with a high degree of entrepreneurial thinking
- Strong prioritisation skills
- People management experience preferred
