The HR Technology and Analytics Branch - HRMOI is responsible for on-going support to critical HR operational processes through the appropriate provision and application of information, processes and enabling technologies. It is also responsible for the developing of the HR Division Technology strategy and roadmap that will support integrated talent management processes, enable full visibility into our global workforce by deploying a technology solution that integrates people processes, data and intelligence from corporate and satellite systems and databases, and will provide workforce analytics and tools to support evidence-based decision making across people-related processes (in particular workforce planning, recruitment, reassignment and deployment to emergencies).
WFP has selected Workday HCM to support harmonization and automation of people management processes, enable self-services, provide access to quality data and analytics needed for workforce planning and decision-making, and provide awesome candidate and employee experience.
To support these priorities, WFP is now looking for an experienced Workday HCM Core consultant, to act as a functional/product expert for the HCM Core deployment to help WFP HR execute its HR Technology strategy through the implementation of Workday HCM Platform.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advise across multiple Core HR functional work streams as the expert in core HR processes and Workday HCM.
Facilitate and drive (with both hands-on project deliverable production & product advice) the Core HR work stream towards design decisions, configuration and recommending best practices related to Workday functionality including, but not limited to: HCM Core, Organizational Management design (supervisory org, job catalogue, positions, competencies), Authorizations & Security, Employee data, Compensation and Benefits, Contracts, Recruiting, Talent & Performance etc…
Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet Core HR functional requirements
Architect Workday HCM solution to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated
Advise HR on industry standards and leading practices by ensuring that WFP takes advantage of Workday best practices
Maintain system level standardization and industry best practices when architecting solutions.
Working closely with the Project Director, provide Workday functional / integrations expertise to support client-side decisions and deliverables as per the project SOW and Charter developed by WFP and Workday.
Provide Workday solutions thought leadership and best practices to WFP’s project team, subject matter experts and leadership.
Drive consensus and provide direction while delivering technology solutions to tackle global
business challenges.
Have an in-depth understanding of system functionality and integrations from a business
purpose and impact perspective.
Demonstrate design options using prototyping.
Work closely with key stakeholders from the business to drive prioritization of feature requests and initiatives in Workday and integrating systems, reporting tools.
Build an in-depth understanding of system functionality and integrations from a business purpose and impact perspective.
Mentor and & upskill small group of internal configuration resources.
Manage Workday implementation through all life cycles stages in close relationship with the Project Manager/Director and the project teams.
Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Human Resources, or related field of study.
Experience:
Existing and up to date Workday HCM Certification
8+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Lead role, or similar level role, preferably with a large consulting firm
5+ years of hands on experience delivering Workday HCM implementations in a leadership role
5+ years prior experience implementing Workday with a certified Workday implementer
Experience integrating Workday with other systems, especially SAP
Experience with solution design, system configuration and implementation of changes within Workday.
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions within Workday.
Experience integrating Workday with other employee productivity and business platforms.
Project Management experience with focus on design, facilitating development, testing and delivery
HCM Core, Organizational Management, Authorizations, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent & Performance knowledge with HR Technology experience in Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP technologies (preferably cloud based)
Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management
Demonstrated understanding of the cross functional dependencies and impacts to conversions and integrations
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, despite conflicting demands.
Knowledge & Skills:
Deep knowledge of Workday business processes and configurations for HCM Core, Organizational Management, Authorizations, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent & Performance.
Existing and up to date Workday Certification in HCM
Knowledge of core HR concepts and processes.
Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions.
Proven experience managing cross functional and multi-cultural teams
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and team with others.
Workday Product Management
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages).
