Business Communications Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to shape and implement impactful communication strategies tailored to different audiences and channels. Each day, you will create compelling content that tells our story, supports business goals, and strengthens our brand presence.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with ABB’s communication standards.
In alignment with ABB’s communication standards, this role supports the local business objectives of the Electrification Business Area, with a specific focus on the Smart Power (SP) and Smart Building (SB) Divisions in Italy.
Reporting to the Business Communication Manager, the role collaborates closely with key stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, HR, and external media partners to ensure effective and consistent communication

In this role, you will contribute to telling the story of ABB Electrification in Italy, with a focus on supporting the business strategy of the Smart Power and Smart Building Divisions. You will be accountable for:
Developing clear, engaging, and business-aligned communication content across multiple channels – including digital, social, internal, and trade – to support the visibility and positioning of the Electrification Business Area in Italy
Managing storytelling and editorial planning, ensuring consistency of messages and alignment with ABB’s brand guidelines and business priorities.
Driving local implementation of global campaigns, including the adaptation of content and messaging to the Italian context.
Supporting EL thought leadership and executive communications, including media relations, interviews, speeches, and authored content for EL key business leaders
Building relationships with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, factory etc) and external partners to enhance collaboration and ensure aligned and effective communications.
Leading strategic messaging for commercial efforts, customer engagement, media presence, and thought leadership
Qualifications for the Role
Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field and minimum 4 years of experience in a B2B and B2C environment (ideally technical/industrial environment).
Proven experience in storytelling and content creation tailored to different audiences and communication channels. Knowledge of the electrification sector is a plus.
Solid digital communication skills, including familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools.
Project management capabilities, with experience in handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Work on measurement KPIs and reporting to help track performance and learnings.
You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
