We are looking, on behalf of our client – a leading international cannabis nutrients brand – for a Technical Sales Representative to cover Southern Europe and the Balkan region.
The ideal candidate is based in Italy and has a background in agronomy, fluent English, and a solid understanding of the cannabis industry and plant biology. Strong sales skills and effective communication abilities are also essential for this role.
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for the commercial and technical development of the brand’s products for cannabis cultivation in the territories of Italy, Malta, Greece, and the Balkans. The role includes managing sales activities, providing technical advice, and supporting business development with licensed growers, cannabis social clubs, grow shops, and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage technical-commercial relationships with licensed growers, grow shops, distributors, and cannabis social clubs across the assigned region.
- Conduct technical visits to assess cultivation needs and deliver personalized nutritional recommendations.
- Advise on the optimal use of our product range to maximize crop performance while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide post-sales technical support, coordinate field trials, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Stay up to date with local cannabis regulations and market trends in each country under responsibility.
- Identify business opportunities in emerging markets and adjust the commercial strategy based on the type of customer (professional grower, grow shop, or CSC).
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to adapt technical messaging and materials to each customer segment.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and technical meetings related to agriculture and cannabis.
Requirements:
- The candidate must be based in Italy.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Italy, Greece, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and surrounding regions.
- Academic background in agronomy or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical sales or agronomic advisory, ideally in intensive or specialized crops. (min. 1 year)
- Strong knowledge of cannabis cultivation in both regulated and non-regulated environments (e.g., medical licenses, CSC, advanced home growing).
- Ability to adapt communication to a range of stakeholders (technical, commercial, growers).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Italian; knowledge of Greek or Balkan languages is a plus.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working across diverse regulatory markets.
- Strong time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (mandatory).
