The O pportunity

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and successfully capturing new potentials in the payment services industry (both card-based and non-card-based payment transactions) in Italy. You will expand our customer portfolio and further develop business relationships at a strategic level. In collaboration with colleagues, you will also support the deepening of existing business relationships and play an active role in establishing new sales opportunities within the existing customer base. You will work in a European team but will be based in Milan.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • You will develop and manage sales activities in line with overarching corporate objectives and work closely with senior management at the European level.
  • You are responsible for building and maintaining long-term, trusting customer relationships with decision-makers at the C-level and below.
  • Regular analyses of your customer portfolio will allow you to identify potential and resultant opportunities and to develop new business.
  • Your interest in the market keeps you informed about trends and developments, which you will communicate globally within the company.
  • You will also be responsible for organizing and conducting regular consulting and sales meetings; in the course of this, you will carry order entry and revenue responsibility for the assigned customers.
  • You rely on well-thought-out strategies that you can flexibly adapt to your portfolio.
  • You document all your activities in the sales control module, thus creating optimal conditions for achieving sales goals.
  • You organize and define a customer-specific sales plan for your key account(s).
  • You create offers in accordance with corporate guidelines and conduct negotiations.

  • You deliver the best solution after thoroughly evaluating alternative methods.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge about our clients' companies and understand how decisions are effectively made.
  • You hold a completed degree in Economics (or a comparable qualification).
  • You have several years of professional experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or a comparable position.
  • You track down problems and find solutions quickly.
  • You are familiar with the standard methods of your role.
  • You are a strong communicator with a consultative-selling approach.
  • You have several years of professional experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or a comparable position.
  • You impress with a sales-oriented demeanor and negotiation skills.
  • You have fluent English language skills..
