Posizione:
Currently We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator for our Branch based in Mexico City .
The position reports hierarchically to the Country Manager and functionally to the Corporate Procurement Manager.
The person is responsible for the complete management of procurement activities within the assigned region, in close coordination with the corporate function, overseeing all phases of the procurement process and ensuring compliance with global company procedures and alignment of IT tools and operational flows between headquarters and local offices.
The person will carry on the following activities:
- Identification, selection, and qualification of new local suppliers in line with corporate guidelines
- Receipt and compliance check of procurement requests (PRs)
- Assignment of PRs to buyers (and direct management when necessary)
- Management/supervision of the purchasing process (request for quotation, technical alignment, commercial tabulation)
- Interface and support to requesting departments during the technical alignment phase
- Management/supervision of commercial negotiations with potential suppliers
- Preparation of commercial tabulations and award proposals
- Management/supervision of the issuance of purchase orders (POs)
- Interface with the Expediting section and support in case of post-order issues (non-conformities, delays, complaints)
- Updating of IT systems and corporate reports for procurement activity monitoring
- Continuous collaboration with headquarters to ensure local activities are fully aligned with corporate procedures, policies, and IT systems
- Support for digitalization and continuous improvement of regional procurement processes
- Preparation of periodic reports, KPIs, and spending analyses
Requisiti:
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, or related disciplines
- Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement and coordination roles, preferably in a multinational plant engineering environment
- Excellent knowledge of international purchasing dynamics and supply contracts
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalents), document management systems, and Office suite
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills in multicultural settings
- Fluent Spanish. Knowledge of English will be considered an advantage
